As a business owner, what are your top priorities?
Achieving success definitely requires multiple components, but to list a few, in no particular order, I’d say
1) Meticulous employee training, recruitment, retention, and engagement
2) Impeccable customer service, acquisition, and retention
3) Market analysis
4) Quality of product
How do you handle adversity and doubt?
These are issues people face in many aspects of life. While it’s important to be receptive to constructive criticism, it’s equally important to remain persistent and resolute! It’s your vision, you have one objective.. to execute successfully!
What did you learn from the worst boss you’ve ever had?
Haha I’ve had an array of bosses in my life, and interacted with many more, ranging from negligent to obnoxious.. I’ve learned first hand that not only is it imperative to instill a sense of confidence in your team, but that communication is absolutely essential!
What have you learned from your failures?
First, it’s important to acknowledge irrational beliefs about failure. Failure doesn’t mean you’re flawed. Everyone is subject to failure at some point in their life, it just means you have to challenge a new obstacle from a different perspective.
Second, develop realistic thoughts about failure. Failure doesn’t define you. It’s how you choose to handle your situation that sets you apart. Where there’s a will, there’s a way!
Most importantly, accept an appropriate level of responsibility, and create a plan for moving forward. Reflect, learn, and improve. Look for explanations, not excuses. Identify the reasons you failed and examine what you can do differently next time. The biggest failure is a mistake you don’t learn from.
