We go shopping and may buy a nice t shirt and some comfortable jeans, but we rarely think about the socks we wear on our feet, they deserve to be shown off as well!” says LucidSocks owner Matt Conklin. Socks should be a part of everyone’s style and LucidSocks, a fully customizable sock company, is seeking to make that a reality.
Based out of Tampa Bay, Florida, LucidSocks is a subscription based company that specializes in making socks, specifically, customizable socks. LucidSocks offers customers the ability to create custom socks, something that has helped Lucid to grow very fast. The brand has worked with many companies including FabFitFun. Both businesses and consumers have expressed that the custom socks have allowed them to better market their brand and relate to their target markets more effectively. The company plans to continue to push boundaries on what socks can do. Matt Conklin said, “We are currently working on creating a sock line for a men’s custom suit store, the response they get when we show them mockups is priceless.”
Launched in 2018, LucidSocks continues to ride the wave of subscription based companies. In it’s short lifespan, the company has already amassed over 80,000 sales. Founder Matthew Conklin said, “The subscription box business model is taking over, companies offer boxes for everything from razors to dog food. I wanted to create a box that included its own brand and not others. Traveling the world and seeing people from all over with different sock designs inspired me to create Lucid Socks. I want to see trendy and stylish socks on feet all over the world.”
Riding on a mission to encourage self expression and creativity, the company plans to expand in hopes of making custom socks a trend throughout the fashion industry.
