In the United States, Walt Disney has made plans to launch as many as 25 stores right within Target in locations around the nation. This is a collaboration between Disney and Target kicking off on October 4.

They also have plans to launch another 40 sites within a year after.

According to the statement by Disney, this “shop-in-shop” strategy will display a staggering collection of 450 items of different kinds from the company.

These 450 items would include more than 100 other products that were previously available only in their location. Some of the cities that will enjoy this new launch include Chicago, Philadelphia and Denver.

This will be great for those who love Disney products and even for those who love to play games online rather than doing weird things online like selling pictures of their feet, as explained on this SellFeetPictures.com website.

Target also made a statement about collaboration, indicating they would also open a special store right at the western entrance of Walt Disney World Resort at Flamingo Crossings Town Centre in Florida. This store would kick off in 2021.

In his own words, the chairman and CEO at Target, Brian Cornell, said “We believe the combination of Disney’s unmatched entertainment and storytelling with our omni-channel retail platform will create inspiring and unique experiences for our guests.”

Continuing, he said “This collaboration reflects the strength of our platforms and assets to create value for guests and growth for both companies beyond the traditional retail model.

They even plan for the “shop-in-shop” layout to have at least 750 square feet and would be located right inside Target stores, next to kid’s clothing and toys. This will definitely attract a lot more activity and sales, than if located elsewhere.

All these would allow guests to browse and even buy Disney merchandize at select Target locations and vice versa. Both companies will make a lot more money from it all, apart from how good this will be for their brands.

This is definitely a sign of bigger things to come from both Walt Disney Co <DIS.N> and Target Corp <TGT.N>.
